Christopher Zaczek
Hevelius AI Group is led by Christopher Zaczek. He has 15+ years in financial services transformation and consulting with seven global banking institutions and a Big Four firm. Working from financial centers including Hong Kong, Singapore and London, he advised C-level executives and delivered projects across EMEA, APAC and the US.
Experience
The experience behind the company
- Leadership. Led cross-functional teams of 5 to 10 people, directing designers, developers and analysts across multiple geographies, working directly with C-level executives.
- HSBC Group. Created target operating models and IT implementation roadmaps for global business banking, and led early AI adoption across the bank: evaluating large language model (LLM) vendors, defining use cases and scaling adoption.
- KPMG Advisory. Defined the operational processes, the customer outreach strategy and the design of a know-your-customer (KYC) platform for a global banking client, with a user base of more than 250,000 and 15,000 monthly active users.
- Société Générale. Spearheaded the development and deployment of a vendor-based regulatory reporting platform for APAC and Japan, reducing the reporting cycle from days to hours.
- Credit Suisse. Delivered a front-to-back transformation program focused on straight-through processing (STP) of listed and over-the-counter (OTC) equity derivatives.
- Barclays. Designed the controls and operational processes for reconciling trading books under the Unauthorized Trading Remediation Program.
- Royal Bank of Scotland. Managed the automation of P&L attribution, calculation and reporting based on risk sensitivities, using Lean and Agile methods.
- ING Bank. Coordinated the testing cycles and the implementation of a business intelligence platform for value-at-risk (VaR) calculation and reporting.
- Citibank. Received two Instant Recognition Awards for migrating mutual funds reconciliation, valuation and transactions control processes.
- Methods and background. Works in agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban), structured project methods (PRINCE2) and Lean, and served as a Senior AI ambassador for HSBC Group. Master's degree in Law, University of Warsaw. English, Polish, Spanish.

The name
Johannes Hevelius
Named for Johannes Hevelius, who published the first atlas of the Moon from his own observations. We hold AI work to the same standard: trust what is proven and recorded.
Hevelius AI Group is a company in Naples, Florida, and has no connection to any astronomical institution.
